Humanities

To become engaged citizens it is important that students have fundamental understandings about how we organise and govern our societies, how we interact with our environments and how these have changed over time.

The Humanities include History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship and Economics and Business

Humanities is a core subject in Year 7 and 8. Students will undertake units related to each of the four strands across their two year study of Humanities.

From Year 9 students are encouraged to explore the specific strands of Humanities that have interested them the most in year 7 and 8. These elective options lead into core and elective options at Year 10 that are designed to assist in developing a strong foundation for further VCE study.
